Meaning Leonordo DiCRAPPio and Johnny Depp.

And I'm realizing that playing a mentally retarded kid is just the perfect role for Leonardo.

But, my God, he and Johnny are sooooo young in this!

1. That was a hell of a movie, and yes, they ARE young in it!
It's funny; I wasn't sure if I actually liked it until a couple of day after I saw it (I did like it).

2. Yes, they are
I love that movie. It's one of the ones I watch when I want a good cry.

FYI - JD really was depressed making it. It brought up a lot of issues with his family.

Great performances by both of them.

6. Hey- why the Leonardo hating?
Between this film and "This Boy's Life" he proved at a very young age that he can act. He will get it together again soon.

I thought he was great in "The Aviator."

7. I hope he gets a chance to redeem himself some time
He's done some bad stuff (and I wasn't impressed with The Aviator) and some good stuff - he was clearly excellent in Gilbert Grape, and I thought he did a great job playing the young incompetent bozo in "Quick and the Dead".

We just have to get him to get over himself or something, and start acting again.

12. I saw that in the theater with a friend and we ...
sat there until the credits were over, crying our eyes out. We both had issues with our families at the time and it was just too much.

17. I love that movie
His portrayal of Arnie is really well done. Most portrayals of mentally challenged characters by actors are of the wince inspiring Rosie O'Donnell caliber.
