Monday was running...
Tuesday was upper-body weights...
Wednesday was running...
Thursday was lower-body weights...
Friday was resting...
Saturday was a 2 mile run...

And I've only lost a POUND! :cry:

I haven't lost any weight for a few months yet my chest has gotten 1 inch bigger and my arms 3/4 of an inch bigger.
don't get discouraged!!

2. That's right.
... remember, lean mass weighs more per the same volume as fat does. Forget the scale, look in the mirror.

And really, any workout routine is going to take a while to bear fruit - hang in there!

5. I won't.
I gained about 20-25 lbs. when I worked on my thesis for grad. school.

Sounds like you're hitting the weight bench, too. I've never had a better experience with weight loss than with weight training!

3. A pound in a week is pretty impressive
Did you know that one pound of fat contains 3500 calories? You're doing good. I don't know how much weight you are trying to lose, but if you continue at your current rate you will be 50 pounds thinner by this time next year. If you do not have that much weight to lose it will even occur at a sooner time. You're doing good! Keep up the good work.
