Texas School District bans eye contact by women |
|
Also, all female students will now be required to wear "Freedom Shawls" which cover their entire face, body and extremities.

1. In a related story, Texas School District bans books that are |
|
deemed to be "immoral". Those are the ones written and/or read by women. Book burning scheduled for 4 PM Monday afternoon.

17. YOU have no idea how true that is |
|
The Texas School Board once banned a textbook because it pictured a woman in a business suit, and they felt this was a bad image to give to girls.
They also once banned a history book they felt portrayed American history in too negative a light. When it was pointed out that the book was more accurate than the one they were using, they claimed American History was taught to make students feel good about their country.

have their boobs hanging out. They're still little girls and cleavage should be reserved for older girls. I think it looks trashy. I especially think they need to ban the low rise jeans and thongs as well. Why haven't they just gone to school uniforms like a lot of the schools here in Oklahoma? People have forgotten that the purpose of school is for learning. Not for girls to show their tits. I am just shocked that people here at DU are making fun of this rule. They're LITTLE GIRLS. I don't know why it's ok for them to show their boobage. Those girls will have plenty of time in college to show their boobs. Duckie

I wasn't exactly wealthy or fashion conscious. It would have cut down on a lot of teasing in my school. Duckie

I assume you wanted it?
I remember my school worrying about my hair length, and how it was going to pervert everyone. Before that is was jeans, and before that it was girls wearing pants.

22. looking trashy is a learning experience |
|
If they're never allowed to dress themselves, they can't learn from fashion mistakes. Letting a girl play with her style of dress allows her to actually develop a concept of what works and what doesn't. And the rationale for this rule is to keep boys from being distracted. That reasoning has pissed me off since I was in school. Why can't the boys learn to control themselves?
