My car was vandalized last night.
As were eight other vehicles in the neighborhood. My rear windshield was shattered. Nothing taken - just pure vandalism.

Someone was making a statement, apparently. They went down long driveways in many cases (though mine was near the street). They hit SUVs.

I don't have an SUV. I have a Volvo station wagon. :wtf: Gets good gas mileage too.

Fuckers.

1. In a good neighborhood, I'd guess?
It is surprising; I typically expect the poor to beat each other up; and not hunt out expensive looking things.

I'm sorry that happened to you.

2. Thanks.
Yeah, good neighborhood. I have a filthy 9 year old station wagon. It isn't a "rich" shiny object. Nor is it an SUV.

3. Yipes.
Sorry, "Volvo" is usually equated with the wealthy.

It's still wrong, regardless, to vandalize...

5. Sorry to hear that..
They took a baseball bat to my Dad's car window when he was visiting one Christmas. It, unfortunately, happens in all neighborhoods. He claimed his driver's side window never worked the same...I felt so badly. Then, the next time he visited Texas at Christmas there was an ice storm...he'll never come here in Dec. again!

6. I STILL want to rip their heads off 19 years later
Some a-holes trashed my beloved car for no good reason. Normally, I'm a forgive and forget type of person. In this case however, I would still happily smash a bottle in their faces and then stab them in the neck with the broken off end.

7. That Happened On My Street Last Week
Last Saturday, I went out at 10:00 AM and when I came back at 2:00PM, all these cars on my street had their windows smashed. It happened in broad daylight! Nobody saw or heard a thing (or so they say). I live in a very good neighborhood in my city. One cannot escape assholes no matter where one lives I guess.
