Ostrich-woman stabbed Fritz in the head with an ice pick. Crumb, my neighbor before he moved to France, hated the movie, and, well, truth be told, Crumb hates almost everything. Odd duck, but I like him nevertheless.

Both by the awesome Mr. Crumb. Fritz was a cat, but Mr. Natural is a man. I don't remember Mr. Natural being in the Fritz movie.
That is so cool that you knew Crumb. Closest I got to that hip was my old roomie in Seattle that used to know Bob Dylan. I've had other brushes with fame, but that one is pretty cool.

I was never really close to Crumb either (I don't think anyone gets close to Crumb, including his wife and child, unless they share the same enthusiasm for eclectic music from the late twenties and early thirties, or if they unearth a huge stash of old 78's that haven't seen the light of day seventy years). I was closer to the other member of the Cheap Suit Serenader's; Robert Armstrong, Al Dodge, and Terry Zwigoff (film maker - Crumb, Louie Bluie, Bad Santa). Nevertheless I enjoyed his company at some real blow-out parties decades ago and can confirm all the rumors of his sexual perversion are steeped in fact. ;)
