Okay. I'm pissed off, tired and very grouchy
so don't mess with me.

I had to "work" (long story--a favor for a friend) from 9 last night until 6 this morning. Just as I got to sleep, the *$&#@ing phone started ringing. Goddamned Peggy Lamm wants my vote on Tuesday. Screw her and the nanny-state bullshit she road in on. Then my frigging sister, who knows I'm trying to sleep, wants to stop by and give me some of her neighbor's freebie zuchini. Their yard sprouts the damned things like a pile of dogshit sprouts bottleflies. Whoopeee frigging doo. Then the daily hang-up call. Then Jane from ARC. Then some computerized survey. I finally give up and get up after only a four-hour installment on what should have been eight hours of blissful slumber. I now have the sleep equivalent of blue balls.

Later, I take my dog for a walk and we stop in my neighborhood cafe' for our usual mid-walk iced triple Americano and doggie cup of water pick-me-up. All of a sudden I'm told that they can't allow my dog in the store. We've been there at least once a week for about six months and no one ever said anything about it to me or to any of the ten other dogs I've seen in there. In six months they've gone from offering me a bowl for the dog to drink from to this shit? They have no walk-up window, so how the *%($*#^ am I supposed to order my frigging coffee? Bang on the window and scream? They sell a bunch of knick-knacky crap in the store and I guess they're afraid a 65-pound husky might break something, or so they tell me. Well bible thumping frigging republicans are destroying the whole fucking planet and you let them in here, I tell them. Probably shouldn't have said "fucking." My neighborhood is across the street from a "christian college" where they teach new generations how to fuck up the planet more efficiently while wallowing in ever more nauseating self-righteous smugness. Saying "fucking" in public here is like taking a crap in the fountain at Trafalgar Square. It's probably been done before, but no one approves.

I'm in a bad mood.

Don't mess with me.

1. I hate that shit!
One minute it's okay for dogs to be outside on a deck with me and the next they're threatening to call "someone" if I don't move them. To where? Inside my 120 degree car? I think it just depends on who's working that day.
Sorry about your sleep.
Okay, leaving you along now.:yoiks:

2. the only thing worse is
Driving through some Georgia town and hearing a voice on a college radio station of someone you had a fling with and promised to write and never got around to it.

3. When I'm asleep in the day...
...the telephone ringer gets shut off and the door does not get answered. If it's an emergency, the medical people can handle it until I wake up. If no one is bleeding or having a heart attack, it's not an emergency. Fortunately, I don't sleep in the day too much anymore. Did while working overnight in college.
