I caught on fire a little bit ago

I was just about to pull out of the driveway after work and went to light a smoke. I clicked the lighter, then there was a big ball of flames and my hand was on fire. I threw the lighter out the window and flapped my fiery hand around until it went out. I could smell all the burnt hand hair and the lighter was on the ground a few feet away from my Jeep and was still in flames.

I just sat there not knowing what to do. I had cars behind me wanting to go home I'm sure, and I was also worried if another car was going to pull up over the flaming lighter and not see it. It hissed and burned and then there was a small explosion. A few seconds later, the fire was out.

I pulled out of the drive and all I could smell was burnt hair. There are a few on my head that got it too. On top off all that, I had to try to get my other lighter out of my pants pocket which is hard to do with a seatbelt on. Then I started laughing about the whole thing because I was so concerned about my life that I had my seatbelt on, but I had just almost blew up and I still went through all the trouble to light my smoke. Lesson... don't leave lighters in the car on hot days. Oh, and don't use those cheap lighters they give away. :)

I couldn't believe how much fire is in those little things. The flames were shooting out about a foot and a half while it was on the ground.

Don't set fire to something you're going to put in your mouth and suck into your lungs. If the lighter doesn't get you, the other stuff will.

to quit smoking and go swimming. Swimming, IMO, is the best rehab for smokers lungs. As a former smoker (smoked for 10 years, quit 6 years ago).

its okay to fail, just keep trying. I tried to quit for years before I found the resolve required to actually make it happen.

you wont just 'quit' smoking and go on with your normal life, to do it right, you'll probably find that you'll change most of your lifestyle.

but, thats usually a good thing!

We played an outdoor gig two weeks ago at some motorcycle open house. It was about 95 degrees and at least 100 on stage. I am known for burning up even in the dead of winter. The other guys in my band brought some other people and they played first. My bass player came over to me after the set and told me I was gonna die up there.

All the other guys in the band started placing bets that my last gig would be that day. They said that I would be a legend for dieing onstage..lol. The someone mentioned Dimebag Darell and my bassist said "well then Johnnie, you are gonna die like a pussy". I told them that we should carry guns with us to gigs and when I feel the ticker going, I'll give them the sign and they can all blow me away before it is a full on heart attack..lol.
