12. I was all like - "In AMERICA we have all you can eat salad!"
"And the breadsticks aren't all crusty and shit like your bread - they're soft and slide right down your throat the way bread is meant to, dammit. What the hell is wrong with you eye-talians?? And I DEMAND that you deep fry this fish right this minute! And bring me some ketchup!"

They loved me there. But I had to wait too long for the check so I stiffed 'em. Serves them right, stupid foreigners.. :bounce:

13. I found an off-the-beaten-track restaurant in Venice....
where they served all-you-can-drink wine!

:D

Really! It was very small, had a very limited menu that wasn't printed and they'd bring you an entire large-sized bottle of wine and you could drink all you wanted of it for some very affordable set price. What a wonderful experience. I ate there more than once because it was so authentic.

22. Damn!
I shop at Costco. I will look for those. Make sure you get a peach pie to go with it!

But I usually eat pot pies during the cooler winter months, which around here means when the temperature gets down to a chilly 60 degrees.

24. Not here.
In my house it means the countdown for school is now on.

Next Wednesday is the first day of school here. There will be a party for the parents after the bus picks up all the little monsters and sends them on their way.

26. Welcome to DU.
Last week, I inadvertently started a flame war by stating that I was going to have lunch at Cracker Barrel. Their chicken pot pie is delicious, but some of these librul elitists weren't happy about it.

The lounge is a lot of fun. You'll like it here.

33. Well, several years back, Cracker Barrel corporate
was unfriendly towards gays and blacks. Most of the restaurants are independently owned now, so that point is moot. Plus, they settled with the EEOC about their behavior.

It was more a flame war about how we shouldn't eat in chains because it doesn't give the little guy a chance to grow.

It was pretty funny, actually. If you search under my name for chicken pot pie, you'll find it.
