Mac OS help needed!

Sorry... I can't wait for someone to notice this in the Mac Users group forum.

My G4, running on OS 10.4 (or so) wants to load the whole dvd - each and every piece of clip art - when I put the disc in the drive. (Art Explosion Broderbund) I just want to pick and choose the image I want, not wait, interminably, for ALL the images to load. I downloaded the new Extensis Portfolio browser v.7 but it has not helped.

I am using Freehand amd Photoshop CS2.

I have a LOT of work to do! Can anyone help me?

7. Here's what you need to do:

Click on the apple and go to system preferences. Under System Preferences, click on the CDs & DVDs icon under Hardware.

This will bring up a window that has several drop-down menus. Under "When you insert a picture CD" change the setting to "Ignore". (You may need to do the same with the DVD setting.)

Don't forget to change those settings back when you're done.
