I suspect pure corporate greed behind the latest "terramania" |
|
Airlines want to sell you drinks - so leave your water and Gatorade at home Airlines want to charge you to use headphones - How DARE you bring an I-POD on board! (Not to mention the Nazis of the RIAA who would rather they didn't exist at all)
Ridiculously overpriced airport shops want to sell stuff - how convenient if nobody has any soap, shampoo, mouthwash, hair gel, etc. when they arrive at their destinations.
Remember the "Duct tape and plastic sheeting" hype back in 2002? And remember that the owners of Home Depot and the #1 duct tape manufacturer turned out to be huge Chimp donors? ;)

4. Airlines also like to sell tickets. |
|
Making people afraid of flying isn't a very good marketing campaign towards that end.
