Funny story at Dem HQ today.

As I related earlier, last week we opened the opened the Baldwin County (AL) Democratic HQ.
It's in a former shoe repair shop that's been closed for months.
We put a BIG 4' X 3' sign on the front, over the display windows, which says "BALDWIN COUNTY DEMOCRATS".
The windows are full of various Democratic candidate's campaign posters.
On the side of the building there's a HUGE "WE (heart) LUCY BAXLEY FOR GOVERNOR".
And one that says "DEMOCRATIC HEADQUARTERS".

Miz t. and I were pulling the 1:00 - 3:00 phone shift today.
During the afternoon four people walked in with shoes in their hands.
"Isn't this the shoe repair place? Where'd he go?"

They must have been repugs.
That's the only thing I can figure.
Too dumb to read the signs.

I finally started saying "YEAH! COME ON IN! If you'll vote for Lucy Baxley I'll fix your shoes for free!"

2. Hand 'em enlistment forms, and let 'em know that with the new

terrattacks and Patriot Act III, they have to enlist, or enlist their children, before they can legally have their shoes repaired.
