You know, I still can't believe the nerve of that doctor that dissed McCoy |
|
Edited on Fri Aug-11-06 05:42 PM by Rabrrrrrr
The 20th century doctor that had the balls to ask McCoy, "What's your degree in, dentistry?"
It's not only an insult to dentists, as though their degrees are worth less than a medical degree, but it was certainly an insult to Bones, who was clearly the better doctor.
What an asshole.
I think Bones should have decked him. Or kirk, when he was melting the lock, should have "accidentally" cut him in half with the phaser. "Oops, silly me - had the darn thing on 'deep fat fry'".
Well, you can bet your every last dollar that I decided then and there I will NEVER, EVER go to that doctor, or even let him work on me, just out of protest. And I wrote him a letter telling him that, so I hope he feels really, really bad about it, though he never responded, do I don't know.

2. The fact that he didn't respond just proves your point. |
|
And it illustrates what sort of doctor-patient relationship you'd have. You should report him to the BBB.

14. that was so lame though |
|
of course he starts typing away at lightning speed. When any computer person knows what would happen. He would type something and the computer would say "bad command or file name". Scotty would go "wtf? What are you using for graphics? Pagemaster? Version 1.6? Might as well use a stone knife. Scotty to Enterprise. See if Spock can look something up on archaic computer languages."
Sure. I bet he did a quick study on those before he went out, but then why didn't he also learn about the mouse and keyboard?

15. It was pretty lame there - using software he's never seen before, |
|
and only punching a bunch of keys for about 20 seconds, he creates a material that the computer recognizes as "transparent aluminum".
It was funny and a cute gag, but so far beyond the realm of believability it gnaws at me.

10. This was of my Favorite Star Trek Movie |
|
Many great scenes -
Spock with the punker on the bus. Scotty talking into the mouse. Kirk teaching Spock the proper use of slang.
After reading this post, I realize two things:
I'm a geek. I have poor taste in movies.

17. Is That From When Chekhov Fell To His Near-Death? |
|
Bones shuda whipped out his 23rd century video iPod and forced the 20th century Dr. (at phaser-point if needed) to watch him put Spock's brain back in.
