Poll question: DiGiorno's or Freschetta or California Pizza Kitchen? |
|
These are usually the most expensive frozen pizzas. Which one do you prefer?

1. Generally, I'm not a frozen pizza person, |
|
but Freschetta always makes me sick to my stomach, so I'd say one of the other two.

2. None...you can't get a decent pizza outside of NYC |
|
OK, maybe Chicago "Pizza," but that's a different thing entirely.

4. DiGiorno's is my favorite among supermarket pizzas |
|
...and believe you me, as a slovenly bachelor who dislikes cooking, I've tried them all.

When I make a pizza at home, it is either a toasted Ragu with sliced cheese personal pizza, or when I get an oven, one of my homemade crescent roll pizzas. I chose California Pizza Kitchen, because it made me think of CaliforniaPeggy and KitchenWitch.

8. You should start a word association thread |
|
State a word and have someone refer to a DUer. You'd be good at it.

13. DiGiorno's is very good, but I find Safeway Select (sold at Vons here) and |
|
President's Choice (from Canada...don't know if it's in the US) to be even better. They're basically supermarket brands (actually, for that matter the Kroger ones are good, too) and the chicken parmigiana pizza that Safeway Select has is perfection.
I haven't been in a CPK restaurant in years -- used to like them, but they're pricey (then again, the rpice of garbage like Dominos is way out of line with the quality of the product) -- and it's been almost as long since I've had one of their frozen pizzas, basically because they're not as good a value as others that do the job just fine.
I love Amy's frozen organic pizzas, and for a while I almost lived on the things, but I haven't had one in ages. The pesto one was my favorite, though the spinach one is close.
Been eating a lot of pizzas in the past year...they've just been appealing to me, for some reason, and a while ago I tried to cut back because I was getting back to my leanest fighting weight until I started downing such delectable consumables and began wondering if my new fighting weight was meant to be of the sumo variety...

I have only seen it sold in two stores, ever, but it's SO good.
Of the above choices, probably Freschetta.
