Who else feels generally icky??

I don't know what it is, but I feel quite weird at the moment. I feel that my life is going nowhere and that there's no hope for humanity. I hate the fact that some fellow Americans are calling for my death ("let's kill all the Muslims, whether they were born into the religion or came to it later"). I hate all the killing and destruction in other lands due to misguided policies. I hate the media's focus on TERROR TERROR TERROR all the freaking time. I want my life back! I want things to be normal again! But I know they never will be.

Just to let you know...many, many Americans love Muslims as our brothers and sisters...and know from History (i.e., Japanese internment camps) that there are phases in History where whole groups of individuals are treated very unfairly. I will do my part, however small, each and every day, to make life a little easier for those persecuted unfairly. Hugs to you..:hug:

For different reasons - but much the same as yourself. I hate this bastard White House - I hate all the killing. I hate quite a lot right now.

5. I am sorry that there are people who are so hateful to you and those of

your faith...that just SUCKS.
And yes, I share your feelings of general ickiness, and your hatred for war and violence and the misguided media.

And yeah, my life is pretty stagnant right now too *sigh*
I pray that HOPE will again rise in this country, and give us a vision of a great future, and the will to work to make it happen, for ALL people, everywhere...

6. Given the state of our country and the number of bigots and

racists who now feel encouraged to speak their "minds" about Muslims and anybody else they don't understand, respect or care about, NO WONDER you're feeling kinda icky. Be comforted to know that there are at least 93,000 of us here on DU who are definitely on your side and who care about your right to a good life and your freedom to believe what you believe. :hug: It's an icky time for all Americans.
