Look What I Did Today
While cleaning my tub / shower, I slipped and cracked my forehead on the faucet. I was lucky though because had I fallen in the other direction, I would have gone through the glass shower door. Kinda painful, but I cleaned it really well and put some aloe vera gel on it. Now I'm relaxing with a glass of single malt scotch.

Who knew that house work could be so dangerous?

2. Geez, Q! I hope you're ok!
 That looks pretty nasty! And housework can be deadly---so get some rest.

Enjoy your scotch, and go to the doctor if you feel worse... :yoiks:

3. Thanx NWC!
I am feeling better now, or maybe it's just the scotch kicking in. I really don't think I will need a doctor, but a friend told me that one should never take chances with a head injury. We'll see. If it still feels painful by Monday, I'll go see my GP. She is just around the corner from my office.

Again, thanx for the concern.

13. Well, I meet one of the criteria...
I'm working on rebuilding myself. I ain't perfect... but an old friend who has long since vanished, and has never seen me sans clothing, has said I am "black from the waist down". Which is really nice... or maybe embarrassing, there is a reason why I prefer to wear oversized pleated pants these days... :D So, in that aspect, I am quite well built! :7

11. I washed my basement steps once, and then promptly fell on them
and broke my tailbone. That was a year and a half ago,and I haven't cleaned my house since. It's simply too dangerous. I'm happy you avoided death in the shower stall.

17. Ice pack (or frozen veggies or meat package...) within first 12 hours
on the injured area for about 10-15 min. on, 10 off, then back on again. The ice will really help in reducing the swelling, and will help to reduce bruising. You can use a towel around the ice pack to reduce the chance of freezing the skin (I make mine with just ice in a ziplock)Hope you did this right away..the sooner the better ;)

heal well...Ouch! x(

Poor sweet, querelle!
