I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was quiet. I slept a lot and did my laundry. Since last weekend I have a dryer, so I am finally in the happy situation to have soft towels :D

Nice to see that you're leading the crew. I'm here a little earlier than usual, so I finally get on b/4 the rest of the crew.

I did laundry too, but then I always do laundry on the weekend. Went to see the movie Hero. with friends last night. It was very good, but I'm not just too familiar with Chinese symbolism, so I fear that I may have missed some deeper meanings. The cinematography was just breathtaking.

The last movie I went to was "Pirates of the Caribean II" last Tuesday. My friend and I want to see also the new movie with Sandra Bullock and Keanue Reeves. And I would like to see the new Miami Vice movie. Alone to drool over Jamie Foxx

16. Oh I rarely

go to movies, this is in that foreign film series that I've been going to. There was a professor of asian studies who had a Q&A afterwards, but unfortunately he really didn't know the color symbolisms.

Other than that my weekend was most uneventful, which was good. Didn't get all of my domestic chores done but got a lot of reading in.

And now it's back to work again. Going to see if I can cut out abut 1/2 hour early.

Yes, Jamie Fox . . . saw him in Ray which was an excellent movie, and his performance was just great, and yes, you're right, he sure is fine to look at!

I am soo happy that I have soft towels now. I still dry my other stuff on the line (except the jeans, I put those in the dryer too).

Yay, shopping!!! I can't do that much at the moment as I have to save all my money for the trip. The dryer belonged to my mom, she then gave it to my cousin and since she can't use it anymore I got it ... talk about recyling :rofl:

I gave a perfectly good dryer to the Lowe's driver when our washing machine broke and we bought the set. It was pretty old, so they threw it out. Shame, but we didn't have a chance to do anything else with it ... and didn't have room to store it. I'm glad your family is so good at recycling! :rofl:

Hey, I just want to give you a word of encouragement, because you're entering a tough time right now - finding a 'real' job after having finished your studies. Don't be disheartened if things don't go your way immediately. It took me a year after graduating to land my first 'proper' job, and that came to me in an unexpected way. Stick at it, and don't let the rejections get you down!

The truck is still up here in NY. It's going back to the mechanic on Thursday, as it has a very definite :bounce: in the front end at 35 mph. I may just leave the Tracker where it is for now. It is Monday morning here, but not a bad one! I have been busy and not around very much. I hope I can spend some good time here until Wednesday when I leave for Chicago. All of a sudden my sleepy summer is speeding up--I saw my cousins at the beach the first weekend of August, we went to the mountains with friends this past weekend, I will be in Chicago for work (a very rare occurrence) through next weekend. After that, two very longtime friends will be coming through town, one on Saturday, the other on Sunday.

After that . . .

That is when I see you and Joani! I am quite excited about that. I want to find out what you would like to do while you are in town.
