Why is the drudge report used as a source of information?

The site is not only boring, but also biased beyond compare. Might as well post story's about Kobe from Fox. Drudge is not a reliable source of information, he has an agenda.

I just don't get it, i've never gotten it. Why that site is touted by so many people, and not just here.

"Drudge reports...(some kind of sleaze against a Democrat)". Fox reports it this way. But the "source" gets lost in the story. If it turns out to be another lie, Fox just points its finger, washes its hands, and moves on.
