Hell's Kitchen final episode tonight!

The battle of Heather versus what's her name. Virginia? Kelly? Something like that. Heather I like, but she looks awful when she cries, and it makes me want to kill her. Heather has very good presence in the restaurant kitchen and can manage the stress, and is a pretty good cook and has a good sense of food. Virginia isn't as good in the kitchen under the stress of serving people, but she has an amazing pallate and incredible skill and creativity at cooking individually.

I like Virginia better, but if she gets the restaurant and doesn't hire people to work in the kitchen for her, she's going to bury it in a week.

Heather is the better choice in terms of managing the kitchen and restaurant, but she won't have the exciting or incredible menu that Virginia would have.


But, we'll see - both get their chance tonight to be actually in charge, so Virginia might shine here as a manager.

I think that although Heather is the logical choice, if it was my money footing the bill for the restaurant, I want Virginia to win this one.

Though if it were my money, I'd want to hire Heather and Virginia to be the head of the restaurant. I think they'd making a fucking AMAZING team.

too many bad chef memories. I wasn't a chef, but I worked for enough of them. sometimes they are scary.

do you think that blond guy is too mean or is all that warranted?

2. Ah, he is what he is.

I've worked with bosses like that who were phenomenal. I don't think he's an asshole type - jut passionate. I've also worked the asshole types, and I couldn't stand it.

I think he's just passionate and a temperamental artist-type, added in with a bit of excess for the cameras.

3. the chefs are handling it better than I would

I have worked for some nasty chefs. The worst one was a Deadhead (whatever happened to 'are you kind', lol) but that was probably because she was losing her drug/alcohol tolerance by the time I met her was was just a freaking evil bride of Satan to be around; she already smelled of acetylaldehyde all the time, which is pretty far gone. Then I had one that had worked at some corporate type place and was a complete corporatron, always running around with the slogan "the answer is yes, what is the question" driving everyone nuts. I'm actually trying to get back into kitchen work though, because it's not hard on my wrists and because you can be all manner of freak and no one notices as long as you do your job.

And, I';m rooting for Virginia -- she has talent, Heather has skill. Skill can usually be taught... talent can't.

I knew Virginia's team would do her in... who else is on the team? BEcause we couldn't watch the first 30 minutes, we are watching it tomorrow. What is their challenge?
