Hey! Meet Reddie, my new Yaris!

Doing your part for the planet can be fun! I look forward to the day when I can be transported with no fossil fuel. But for now.......

1. Sweet!
I got mine back in May. Don't you just love it? What is the hb like? I got the "sedan". I drove to Houston and back on one tank of gas with the AC on the whole time.

2. I like it very much, so far. It is "retro" in many areas like the manual
crank windows. Personally, I look at that as "more electric stuff" that won't break down. I don't mind cranking my windows at all. There is more room that I thought there will be. It is a standard and I caught back on to that real quick....it IS like riding a bicycle, in that regard. The sound system is very nice but not spectacular. The air is strong and cold. The total price was under fourteen thousand and the payments are very affordable. The worst thing is how much our insurance is going up!!!! We have a eighteen year old son who will EVENTUALLY get the Yaris. So insurance is a booger.

I just got it today but, so far, I think it is great. It is supposed to get forty per gallon or a little better. Just think how much gas we could save if every family had one and used it quite a bit?

Thank you Toyota!

3. I have its older brother, the Scion xA.
Love it. Fun as hell car to drive. Not as retro (power windows/locks) as the base Yaris, but it's still "just a car." I kinda wondered what the deal was with power windows on a subcompact where the driver can easily reach the passenger side door with his or her seatbelt fastened.

I get about 35 honest MPG (33 with the air on) no matter how hard I drive it.

5. We haven't had it long enough to have to gas it up. They filled it
at the dealership. I'll make a report the first time we fill it up. There was twenty-seven miles on it when we got it.
