Please help me figure out this 80's song...
I'm thinking sometime around early to mid-80's, an English (or Aussie?) new-wavish band. Maybe four or five guys, mostly guitars, light on the keyboards. Right around the time of Saga and Spandau Ballet, that kind of gig.

Only bits and pieces of the lyrics are coming to mind. Ususally I can find these with Google, but I'm coming up empty. I know I recognize the band's sound, but it's just not coming together.

I'm paraphrasing the lyrics to hell, but bear with me on the chorus:

Because tonight we're on the run
(Something something) must be done
We can see what we need to see (?)
Because tonight is on the run

(band: baby tonight)

The video's storyline featured a motorcyclist trying get away from his pursuers, if I recall.

This earworm has been hounding me for years, and I can't solve it. Anyone?

2. Nope, not as dramatic...
Saga had such a full sound. These guys could've been a bar band, pretty laid-back. Thanks for guessing, though.

15. I searched using quotation marks.
When I didn't find it using the complete set of lyrics, I just added a plus sign and on the run in quotation marks. Oh yeah, I forgot to add that I held my tongue the right way while I did it.

You are welcome. It was no problem. It would have stayed on my mind too if I hadn't found it.

17. Thank you kindly.
You can probably hear it again if you go to one of the search engines (Yahoo is easiest for me) and type "The Sherbs"+"We ride tonight" and then click on audio and then click on search. Otherwise VH1 or MTV probably have a clip somewhere.

Maybe Madcap - Heaven or Hell. The first one I know, the second I don't....but the lyrics don't seem quite right.
