1. I've followed this story since day 1, and am CONVINCED that |
|
Patsy Ramsey wrote the 'ransom' note. Unless she was covering up for this freak, I think the case against him will most likely fall apart. I've always thought that the older brother may have actually committed the crime, and the parents tried to cover it up.

4. Please, if you would be so kind, explain to me why you would "follow |
|
the story from day one." I'm sorry, but I just don't understand the fascination that so many have with this.

12. If you think about it for a moment |
|
The media is in your face commenting about it for weeks whenever anything comes up about it. Unless you do not watch news you will be forced to follow it. It's difficult to get away from even for those of us who aren't fascinated by it. Frankly I'm sick of it.

18. Why does anyone follow anything? |
|
Sports, literature, popular celebrities? Ever notice the unhealthy fascination with celebrities around here? People can tell you a dozen ways Tom Cruise is evil, or Britney Spears is stupid.
People are fascinated by different things. I don't see why that's hard to understand. This was an emotional, moving mystery from day one. Why is it odd that people have followed it from day one?

22. Unfortunately with the way the Main stream media works, |
|
for anyone who watches the news, it is damn near impossible not to know something about this case. In trying to catch snippets of the real news, the media saturates the print and airwaves with these types of stories. It's hard not to have an opinion of the story.

27. You don't consider this "real" news? |
|
I consider it real news when the police think they have captured the killer of a little girl.
I'm not disagreeing that it does get to be way too much when you can't turn on the TV without seeing it, but it's still real news.

20. How can she be "covering up" for this pedofile? |
|
She's DEAD!!!!
The older brother was NINE yrs old, at the time. Give me a break!
No offense, but I think you should turn off "Faux Suxs"!
If you really have been following this, you'd know how the CO investigators completely screwed up the investigation. That's widely known.
And the media was totally biased, towards the parents, as a result!
Therefore, you didn't get the whole picture.

26. Yes, Sport.. I'm quite aware that Patsy Ramsey is dead. The note |
|
SHE WROTE was to cover up for WHOMEVER killed the child; the implication being that she KNEW the killer and would have a vested interest in covering their tracks, so to speak. Did she know this fool? I'm guessing 'no'. Ergo, he didn't kill the kid.. get it? As for your suggestion that I quit watching "Faux Suxs", which I'll assume to be Fox News: I don't. Perhaps YOU should put down the remote and read a book or three; you may pick up some spelling tips..

21. I'm not, but I haven't followed it that closely. |
|
I know a lot was made of the writing style and the misuse of "and hence" in the letter, but her writing sample didn't match it, she passed a polygraph saying she didn't write it and didn't know who did, and the DNA found on the body didn't match anyone in the family (including the older brother), or any of the other suspects who had DNA on file.
Though my knowledge of the case is casual, you may have answers for each of the points above. I haven't followed it much, I've just picked up these details in random bits.

It's being reported that Karr "confessed" to having drugged JonBenet, then having sex with her. But no drugs or alcohol were found in her body, and only a couple of minor abrasions were found during the internal exam. These scratches were thought to be caused by digital penetration, or by a stick. No semen was found.
Looks like the case is already starting to fall apart.

24. I agree with you - the Thailand theory doesn't make sense |
|
...because he could easily be convicted in American court just based on his confession and some of the things he wrote to that professor. DNA evidence cleared the Ramseys in 2003 and there was DNA of an unknown male. People have been convicted on a lot less! It's a huge risk.
And he had just started teaching school in Thailand this week - he wasn't in jail or even on trial.
He is just a nut!

16. He was arrested for the murder BEFORE even going to a Thai jail |
|
And he was interrogated by US police, not Thai police. He had been laying the groundwork for this confession for several years, it sounds like. This has nothing to do with Thai jails.
I think one of two things. Either he's guilty, or he became so fascinated with this case, so in love with JonBennet by learning all about her, that he wanted to become part of the family, so to speak, or part of JonBennet. By confessing to this, he becomes part of the story he loved. By claiming the murder was an "accident," he becomes a loving part of the story, as much a victim as the parents, in his mind. He too loved her, he too lost her through tragic events. Given his prior arrest for child porn, he may even be covering up a guilty conscience about something--taking the punishment for this crime because he's done something else.
He was setting this up long before he was arrested in Thailand, though.

19. HE IS NOT CHARGED WITH ANYTHING IN THAILAND |
|
Jesus, a cursory examination of the case would avoid these silly errors.
How could he be trying to avoid a Thai prison when the Thai authorities neither have charged him with anything, nor were in the process of charging him with anyt5hing. Get your facts straight first.
I too believe that he's made it all up, but the reason you propose it manifestly and demonstrably wrong. Hell, the Thais are deporting him. They never had any intention of keeping him in any prison. Case closed on that misplaced little theory.

prostitution and child molestations. It is a safe haven for child molestors. He would face worse punishment here than there, from what I have read and heard.

Child rapists and murderers don't exactly have an easy time of it in U.S. prisons! I highly doubt that was his rationale.
