The "newer members" of DU really seem to post a lot in threads about Republicans saying something indefensible/racist/stupid.

Why is that?

Far, FAR fewer GDers donate than do regular Loungers. Why is that?:shrug:

But I read thread after thread in GD today in which nobody had the I donated streamer. But, in every thread I read in the Lounge, there was at least one. Since I raise funds for a living, I tend to notice these things.

Oh, also, I wasn't pointing any fingers, just making my own GD observations. I know people donate when it's most convenient for them and that's just fine. It just seems as though Loungers are more likely to donate, at least the way I see it.

I posted only in GD for a long time, until I ended up having more fun in the Lounge. The posters to which I'm referring in my OP are the n00bs who keep saying things like "Well, at least he made a good apology" or "He probably didn't mean it that way", ad infinitum...
