1. Sounds like she sold out. |
|
This is what producers want, and it sells, so quality be damned, I suppose.
It is truly sad.

3. Most Singers are told......by the Producers... |
|
"You either do what the hell we want you to do or hit the door"
When I worked for CBS as a Studio Musician, I had to play a Sax Break (Solo) like the way THEY wanted..Not (Always) like the way I wanted it to sound.

5. Well, let me play the devil's advocate here...... |
|
I think the first video is awful...
She's not singing......she's screeching.....It's not musical at all, IMHO...
And althought the second video is very slick and commercial, you can hear how sweet her voice actually is.......
Go figure........maybe I'm just too far out of the loop here...

6. She's imitating Janice Joplin in the first...a rock icon. |
|
I think she has a powerful voice, but the slick stuff is just too....slick.

7. Well, I understand about Janice Joplin......... |
|
But is it really necessary to sound like that?
I agree about the slickness, though.........
She needs to find her own voice, IMHO.......... :hi:
