UPDATE on my upper wisdom teeth extraction: |
|
Thanks to each and every one of you who wished me well and held me in the Light for my upper wisdom teeth extraction yesterday. All went well, thank goddess. I was nervous as hell. The drugs really helped. I had a drug IV which basically knocked me out for the whole quick procedure. It was amazing and definitely the way to go. My uppers were already erupted, as opposed to impacted, so that also was in my favor. I'm takin' it easy for a couple o' days and am in a pleasantly drugged out haze.... Let's just say, Mama loooooves her Vicodin.... :) heheheh. Seriously, that's some good shit. Too bad the doc only prescribed 20 of them. Sigh...
For some reason, I felt compelled to save my wisdom teeth. Dang, those things are BIG! No wonder my jaw is so sore...Now, what the hell should I do with 'em? A nice pair of earrings, perhaps? Stick 'em under my pillow for the Tooth Fairy to get some money to pay for MORE Vicodin??
Anyway, thanks again for your good wishes. xo, Shine :7

As for the teeth, give it some time. :)
I wonder if they eventually crack and crumble like my daughter's baby teeth?

I am so happy to hear that all went so well!
Maybe you could have a local artist make your teeth into earrings!
They would be perfect for Halloween!
Please take care, and take your Vicodin too!
:hi:

4. Ah... been there, done that... |

I had my upper and lower wisdom teeth all pulled, along with two molars that were so rotted it wasn't worth rebuilding them.
I had the IV drip as well. The procedure was fast and easy except for one little hiccup....
About halfway into the procedure, as the doc was sawing one of the teeth in half (I dunno how your doc did them, but mine sawed each tooth in half and removed them) I woke up with full awareness and full sensory input. All the crap in my mouth (not to mention an active saw!) meant I couldn't say anything or move. So I used my eyes to bore into the nurses head and psychically tell her to help me. She did turn, looked at me and her eyes went wide and she gave me a big hit from the IV and I was out like a light, again.
On the plus side, I know what a "10" on the pain chart is. ;-)
