Something smells awful in my kitchen |
|
I've taken out the trash, thrown out all the "imperfect" produce, and it still smells bad. Any freshening tips?

2. sorry I accidently burnt that pile of plastic bags. |
|
Is the smell rotten as in something died or rotten as in something went bad? Have you checked the cubboards for any opened cans of food items?

3. Did you look under the sink? |
|
Sometimes things can happen under there.......:scared:
It might need cleaning.......
Or, on the other hand......
Perhaps all you need to do is open a window, and let the place air out...
That's what I do after having done the rest........
And it works.........

8. Looked and smelled under there. Nothing. |
|
It's horrendously humid today, so the window thing isn't really an option.

5. If you have any lighting fixtures in the ceiling, I'd check those. |
|
My kitchen smelled really bad a while back and I had a dead, decaying mouse stinking up my joint.
We've used those Airwick plug-ins, and even though I'm not a fan of most of their scents, they do the job.

7. We had a stinky dead mouse once too. We thought it was because... |
|
one of my brother's scumbag friends had been in the room for a few hours

11. That smell can be harder to rid than the dead mouse. |
|
But in my case, I should have paid more attention to my roommate's cat who sat there staring at the ceiling for weeks.

10. Could be that a drain dried out.. |
|
we have that problem here. Run water down the sink for a few minutes -- mom used to pour some vinegar in. Might be those sewer gases backing up.

That's always how it is in my kitchen when something stinks. I may think I've thrown everything out, but there's something lurking turning green somewhere. Look harder.
