I make some terrific dolmadas and rice pilaf.

Never developed a taste for uzo. Besides, I heard if you put it in a foam cup, it will eat through it... :scared:

29. But of course!
The annual Greek Festival is coming up Labor Day weekend. We get decals there.

I have my dad's baptism certificate. One side is in English, the other Greek. We're having trouble finding out what the original family name was. Papoo changed it when he got married and for some reason, picked a German/Austrian surname...

I'm hoping someone at the church can help me figure this out.

:hi:

31. My original birth certificate is in Greek.
Of course it lists my adoptive parents, but it was almost rejected by the driver's license office as the English translation looks rather unofficial. From that day on, I always use my US Passport to verify birth and citizenship.

Oh, my first two passports were Greek too.

33. How cool is that??
Someday I'll get to Greece. Someday, I might even get a passort. ;)

I wish I had the time to learn the language. Papoo never had the patience to teach us a word of Greek, although he and my Uncle John found it quite useful when they wanted to talk in front of us kids...

Mix one shot whiskey with a mug of Guinness. Drop a shot glass of Bailey's in and bomb the whole thing before the whiskey curdles the Bailey's. Now you know why you should only have one. :+
