Texas is so huge...I'm not sure where the line of demarkation is between the steamy heat starts and the arid heat...

Somewhere around San Angelo. The drought here is pretty bad. I've seen whole fields of corn all dried up and withered. That can't be good.

Nothing and no place is immune. Come February when we've forgotten what our fingertips feel like, you'll be glad you're where it's warm.
By comparison though, I've gotta admit I'd rather deal with a blizzard every couple of years than the annual threat of hurricanes.
