Man thinks he won lottery; number misprint
Elation turned to despair for a Quebec man last weekend when a mistake in a Montreal newspaper led him to believe he had a winning ticket in last weekend's $43.2-million Lotto 6-49 jackpot.

Ulysee Maillot, 62, said he thought his numbers had come up after he read the Montreal Gazette last Sunday.

But the paper printed the wrong numbers by mistake.

Now he and his lawyer are demanding compensation from the Gazette.

1. Oh for fuck's sake...
:eyes:

Good to know that abjectly terminally ignorant assholes aren't just an American product.

2. I think he deserves the compensation...

6. It is sad, isn't it?
I wouldn't blame him for wanting some compensation.

Poor guy - nearing retirement, thinks he'd have a good one, too...:-(

8. How disappointing for him
I just don't think disappointment is a valid reason for compensation.

It's not like he went out & spent a lot of money yet, or did he? If he did, then I can understand him wanting, even needing, compensation.

9. That really sucks
Lottery up there is tax-free, and they give you the whole thing - none of this annuity for 25 years crap - unless they changed it in recent years...
