If I wanted to be at YouTube

I would be at YouTube. I've just clicked on the 8th thread today with nothing but a link to youtube and no explanation of what I'm to expect once clicking there. What's more annoying is that I'm using some crappy public wifi that blocks "inappropriate" sites, including Youtube for some reason. But basically, if I wanted to spend my day watching youtube, I would be at youtube, not DU. So cut it the fuck out or at least post your thoughts about the video to start a discussion. Something other than "hey look at this!"

It is kind of a tease sometimes. Sometimes I go to the video if I'm in the mood or the OP is tantalizing enough, like the 'yes' one that Rabr... just posted. But I agree, if I post a video from wherever I post the name of the band and the song, just so not to waste people's time.

I always seem to click on YouTube links, and 90% of the time it is something I had no intention of seeing without the prompt to do so here on DU.

13. It pisses me off. I also hate song lyrics posted as legitimate threads.

This has been my bandwagon for years that if you are too uncreative to say something on your own and must resort to just posting the lyrics to a song I've never heard of nor ever heard, then you should put "song lyrics" in the thread title so I know not to click it.

That happens too many times.

And the same with the fuckin' youtube threads - fer fuck's sake, people, put a description of what it fucking is.

sticky a thread just for youtube videos. I like most of them, especially the music vidoes. A lot of songs I had forgotten about and vidoes I have never seen or not seen in years. I can see why some people would get annoyed by it, though.
