Favorite Simpson's Episode?Doh!
Ok I will admit it. I am a very loyal Simpson's fan. Love the show and I watch it almost daily. I just got finished watching the rapture episode and it was hilarious. Have any favorites you would like to share? I know its a silly topic, but today has been one of those days and I feel like smiling tonight. :)

3. One of the greatest exchanges of dialogue in television history...
Edited on Wed Aug-23-06 01:57 AM by primate1
Between Rex Banner and Homer...

Rex Banner (muttering to himself): "You're out there somewhere, beer baron! And I'll find you."
Homer (off in the distance): "No you won't!"
Banner: "Yes I will."
Homer: "Won't!"

7. Toss up between when Homer gets a gun.....
Lennie says automatic weapons can be used to "hunt dangerous animals like the flying squirrel or electric eel."

.... I also dig the episode in which Bart sells his soul to Milhouse

The one where Homer gains weight to go on work comp, or the one where he goes to clown college. I just can't decide!!:freak:

9. "Home Sweet Homediddly-Dum-Doodily"
The one where the Flanderses are given custody of the Simpsons kids ("neglect-areenos"). Marge and Homer have to take a remedial parenting course:

Welfare Guy: And put your garbage in a garbage can people! I can't stress that enough. don't just throw it out the window.
Marge: This is so humiliating.
Homer: Garbage in Garbage can. hm. makes sense.

In the end, Homer "takes a baptism" for Bart.

Bart: Wow, Dad, you took a baptismal for me. How do you feel?
Homer: Oh, Bartholomew, I feel like St. Augustine of Hippo after his conversion by Ambrose of Milan.
Ned: Wait! Homer, what did you just say?
Homer: I said shut your ugly face, Flanders!
Ned: Oh, fair enough.

the one where his parents get divorced.

Can I borrow a feeling?

Do you sleep in a car?

No, I sleep in a bed with my wife.

11. Yikes! Pick just one?
I'd say most all of 'em. I love the one where Moe changed his bar to a family restaurant...

I have some favorite scenes I can name readily enough, though--in one of the eps from the first season (IIRC), when Lisa was poking Bart's arm where he had just had a tattoo removed--"OW! Quiddit." (poke) "OW! Quiddit." (poke) "OW! QuidditquidditquidditMOOOOM!"

I am very proud to say that my 2-year-old now says "quiddit", quite properly (and no, we don't poke him). :hi:

35. Oh shit, just thought of another contender...
"Homer at the Bat"

http://www.snpp.com/episodes/8F13.html

Well, Mr. Burns had done it.
The power plant had won it.
With Roger Clemens clucking all the while.
Mike Scioscia's tragic illness made us smile.
While Wade Boggs lay unconscious on the barroom tile.
We're talkin' softball.
From Maine to San Diego.
Talking' softball.
Mattingly and Canseco.
Ken Griffey's grotesquely swollen jaw.
Steve Sax and his run-in with the law.
We're talkin' Homer...
Ozzie, and the Straw.

13. I like a lot of them too much to choose
But one scene that cracks me up every time I see it or even think about it is when Bart wants to steal the Mafia guy's hood ornament. Bart and Milhouse put on fake mustaches and act like valet parking guys out front of the italian restaurant. And Bart says (in an italian accent) "We park-a your car-a, just like-a mama used to do". Lol, see I just laughed.

And then on of them says "Trya the cheesea pizza"

Lisa is beat for first chair sax by a new girl whom she tries to befriend. Also, Homer finds an enormous pile of sugar after a truck jackknifes on the highway. Hilarity ensues.

18. The one where Bart has the vision of the future
Lisa grows up to be president and he's a deadbeat, then he walks into her office during a meeting with China, where he prevents a war over the debt, before waking up.

Lisa: So what's it like in the future?

Bart: Awesome! I have my own band, and I stop a war with China, and I even have a moped!

Lisa: Cool! What about me?

Bart: Eh. You have some government job.

Edited on Wed Aug-23-06 12:17 PM by dicksteele
Best opening-scene chalkboard sentence was the
tenth-seasons "I should not be 21 by now".

And my favorite 4 lines of dialogue EVER:

Homer: You're selling what, now?

Apu: I am selling only the concept of karmic realignment.

Homer: You can't sell that! Karma can only be portioned out by the cosmos. *slams door*

Apu: He's got me there.
