Good Wednesday morning, Crew!

:donut:

Better late than never, I suppose. How is everyone today? I'm very sore today. We went out to our property yesterday and mowed some paths in the brush. Then we mowed a clearing in the woods and hung a swing. :bounce: Of course, when we went shopping for the swing, we found a gazebo that was perfect. We have a place all cleared for it and it will be delivered next week.

The good news is that we got exposed to a lot of poison ivy and neither one of us has a rash yet. We've never been bothered by it before, but my mom insists that everyone is allergic to it. I wonder when we'll know for sure.

Let's get going, crew! Time to rise and shine! :bounce: :grouphug:

3. Good afternoon, MissHC!
:hi: :loveya:

Yep! The swing is there! We got everything ready and then went shopping for it. We stopped at the house and got a picnic and some tools on the way back out. It was SO cool to have our picnic on the swing! :bounce: I would love to go over and sit on it and watch the workers today. But harleydad is working today. :( Perhaps we can take our lunch over there. :bounce:

How are you doing today? Have I missed anything? I'm still pretty groggy. :P

5. Yes, do that
Edited on Wed Aug-23-06 07:35 AM by MissHoneychurch
go over there for lunch. Eating and relaxing while others work

I am doing fine. I had a date last night, which was really nice. We went to a Cocktail Bar and he was quite a gentleman. I laughed a lot. Still I am not sure if I want more or not. Different reasons.

8. They won't be there at lunch time.
They all go off in a truck together and come back an hour later. Gives us time to examine their work. :D

You had a date? With a gentleman? Does he want another one? :bounce:

9. But it would be more fun
to have lunch WHILE they work

"I love work, esp. when I can watch"

He says he wants another one. I will see if he contacts me again. It is up to him.

10. You're right about that!
 It is fun to watch them, too. I have some pics ... just need to get them up to photobucket.

Well, you're coming here in a few weeks and it'll give him time to miss you. I hope you have another date before your vacation. :D

11. We will see
I don't really have the time for another date till say mid of next week. Too much stuff going on at work.
Anyway, he has to call first before something is to be decided.

Looking forward to the pictures. You know what you have to do today - uploat the pics

12. That's right!
You are down to 10 days! :bounce: :woohoo: It'll go by fast with all that stuff you have to do. :bounce:

If I have time, I'll upload pictures. I have to meet with the builder and pick out a fireplace, too. There sure is a lot of homework to do! No wonder they wanted us to live in town while they build! It's nothing like when we built the house in FL. (This is better ... but more work for us!)

13. This is really better
that way you can scream in time if something is done not the way you like it. Of course it is more wokr but it will be even more your home when you move in.

14. True!
Last time, we had no choice on things like bathroom or kitchen fixture except whirlpool tub or not, stainless or cast iron sink. Now I have to choose everything -- tubs, sinks, showers, even doorknobs! It's going to be very nice. But sometimes it's hard to imagine how everything will look together. Still, I'm plugging away at the homework. I need to call the cabinet lady sometime this week and get started on that. Then I'll be choosing light fixtures. Thank goodness I picked out my appliances early!

17. Thanks!
I think I'll be done with this set by then. There are three sets of homework and I'm working on the second one now. The third one doesn't have to be done for a few months. Phew!

20. Do it at your pace
don't rush anything or let be rushed. It is your home and you want and need to live there for a lot of years. Make sure you like what you pick. I am sure you don't need my advice as you know yourself better how to do it than me.

One thing though: Make sure it is kitten proofed

21. I am so sluggish!
I worked like 10 hours yesterday and then went out for dinner and drinks. Didn't come home until 12:30 a.m. and had the worst sleep.

I am a zombie right now. It's even hard to type.
I'll nap later and I should be ok.

:) :hi:
