Good Thursday Morning, Crew!

:donut: Well, we made it through the hump day and the weekend is almost here! :bounce: How is everyone this morning?

I had a busy day yesterday. Had to do laundry and keep picking things out for the house. I'm dreaming about bathroom faucets! x( But we had a nice lunchtime picnic on the new swing in the woods. I don't know what's in store for today yet.

Let's get started, crew! I surely don't know when Clintmax will be back, but we'll do our best until he's ready. Rise and shine! :donut: :loveya: :grouphug:

4. Good Morning MissAirmens
So you really had you lunch (literally) on the new swing. Now how cool is that?

My day started OK and is going more or less good now. I am searching for a book within the institution because an outside customer needs it. It is supposed to be in the Reading Room and someone took it without putting in a paper saying "I took this book then and then" I hate that. What is the problem to put in a "paper substitute". It would make it a lot easier for me. When I am here I look that they do that but the colleagues have access to the library also when it is closed for the public.

:hi: :loveya:

Yep! We really had lunch on the new swing. It was pretty cool. The sun shines through the trees just a little bit right on the place where the swing is. :D

Oh, how frustrating! I hope you find your book!

12. One day it will show up without comment who had it
I am looking for other books as well. I have a full folder with missing books. And I am sure they are somewhere here in the house.

"Oh I will bring it back in five minutes, I don't need to put in a substitute". Bullshit!!! Make it many many years without us knowing where it went.

28. They are somewhere in the departments
till 2000 the stack was accessable for all people who worked here. Of course the attitude was the same back then. So you can imagine how the books vanished.

And yes, I need my vacation. NOW!!!!!

Sophie sits on the edge of the tub and cries to get in. Occasionally, she'll peek around the shower curtain. She doesn't actually want to get wet ... I'm not sure what her problem is. When you're done and get out, she'll rub against your wet legs and get Sophie fur on them. That's just the way it is. She'll even sit on the sink while you brush your teeth. But she doesn't like the hair dryer and will leave when that's turned on.

13. Morning MissH
Grrrrrr . . . your book search, doesn't that make you mad. People do the same thing where I work, but only with files. They take them and don't put the "paper thingie" there so no one knows whose got it, and how long it's been out.

It was a stormy night last night. I could do without the storms, but we certainly needed the rain.

as said we are missing a bunch of books. And when you ask them "Oh I don't have it. How dare you to suspect me" And I even get those answers if I have the substitute with their signature :eyes:

We got a lot rain this August. Only two or three nice days at all this month. It feels like fall already X(

32. It's been pretty
cool here lately too. I think it's far too early for that. I prefer warmth, but not the really hot stuff that we had a couple of weeks ago.

I was laying down reading on my couch last night, with a blanket pulled over my legs, and my nice warm kitty laying on my legs, and all of a sudden she stands up and hurls one! She does that because she's old, but all the same, icky, icky, icky.

I gotta head out. Got to gas up my car. Was going to do it last night, but didn't really feel like standing out there in the pouring rain pumping gas. But I don't think I have enough to get all the way to work today.

Wishing you a great day, and hope that you find that book!

10. Morning Airmensmom!
Glad I could catch you today. Picnic? Ohhhh . . . how romantic!

I bet it's fun picking out stuff for the new house. Faucets? There's a great company right here in Wisconsin, The Kohler Company that makes top notch bathroom stuff. http://www.kohler.com/corp/kohlerfamily01.html

Storms ran through here last night, so I wasn't able to row. Hopefully tonight, and if not, I'm going out to eat with friends.

I'm taking tomorrow off again, so I'm considering today my Friday. :woohoo:

15. Good morning, SF!
:donut: :hi: :loveya: Yeah, we're incurable picnickers. :D

Picking the stuff out would be more fun if I had a bigger budget. Unfortunately, I LOVE Kohler ... and it's not the cheapest stuff on the market. I'm going to use it for the master bath and kitchens. But I'm already way over my budget.

I hope you get good weather tonight. Good that you have a backup plan!

You're taking another Friday off? :wow: I used to do that when we lived in NY state. And we'd go camping for the weekend. Loved the extra day! :bounce: I hope you do something fun!

:loveya:

26. We're still on
summer hours this week and next. That means we work nine hours a day (which I typically do anyway) and then we only work until noon on Fridays. But if I take take vacation hours for these Friday's I'm only burning up four hours, but get the whole day off, leaving me with a three day weekend. I'm doing the same thing next week, but with Labor Day holiday in there, I'll be getting four days off! Trust me Airmensmom, that truly makes me happy!

Picnics would be fun . . . if there was someone to picnic with.

I agree, Kohler stuff is good, but expensive too. They have a plant in Mexico and Italy . . . maybe that line is a little less expensive? Who knows.

37. We used to do that, too!
I loved it! Then when we moved to FL, it was frowned upon ... if you EVER went home, it meant you were lazy or something. They preferred the employees to die at a young age from overwork. (One young man did exactly that.) That was one thing I really missed about NY.

I sure know how long weekends can make you happy! :bounce:

C'mon over! We can have a picnic in the gazebo when it arrives next week. :woohoo: BTW, my sister said she found some cheap tickets from CA to Knoxville, TN. Perhaps it is cheaper to fly to Knoxville than TRI.

I found a place online that sells all kinds of faucets and things for even less than the builder's supplier's prices! I'm going to check today and see if she wants me to go ahead and order them ... especially since there's no shipping or tax! :wow:

53. No shipping fees
and no tax! Awesome! I think it would be fun choosing all those new things for your home, but also a daunting task. Guess you have to have your color scheme in mind before hand, and go from there. And there's so many neat faucets, etc. out on the market now.

I'm at work now, and guess I'd better do some work!

I'll be sure to check airfare again!
