You know the second-worst thing about having wisdom teeth pulled? |

Although the pain (#1) goes away, it's possible for food to get caught in the empty sockets until your jaw completely heals. I just pulled out a half-broken down piece of turkey that had been in there since last night and stank abominably. Eeeewww!

Eat lots of ice cream and drink lots of iced tea to numb the pain.

I know the feeling though...I usually swallowed food, when I had multiple wisdom teeth pulled...no chewing, just...chopping the food up with the fork/knife, and then swallowing little bits/pieces...

5. worst pain of my life... |
|
way worse than having teeth pulled, broken limbs, dislocated limbs, kidney stones, slipped disk, etc. (and I'd know, I've had all of the above) was a sudden and intense toothache I got due to a cavity in my wisdom tooth. I agonized for four days without a wink of sleep because of that pain, slowly overdosing on aspirin. We couldn't find a dentist. So the next best thing was an old guy who wasn't a dentist but had pulled plenty of teeth before. So he grabbed a bottle of whiskey and a pair of pliers. And an hour later all four of my wisdom teeth were out. And you know what? I laughed and laughed through the whole damn process, because getting your teeth pulled out with pliers by somebody completely unqualified to do it felt a whole lot better than that damn cavity.
