5. I once ate at a greasy spoon that served the "mother-daughter reunion" |
|
That was the name they gave the dish. Eggs your way, with country fried chicken.
Of course I had to get it. So it became a hangover staple during college with the roomies.
Now it kind of makes my stomach churn. But still makes me giggle a bit.

6. Nope, the eggs aren't abortion because they're not fertilized. |
|
All of them result in the death of millions of animals though in a filthy, cramped factory farm. If you're going to consume any of those products, you should buy free-range for your own health, if nothing else.

11. Yep, I'm aware of that. |
|
I try not to think about it, but the only eggs I eat anyway come from my friend's hens, which are treated like pets and will never be eaten.

14. Modified and specified (BELT - Bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato) |
|
1. Hard fried egg 2. Pimiento cheese 3. Crisp applewood-smoked bacon (Fresh Market has the best) 4. Romaine lettuce 5. Fresh garden tomatoes
Bread: Your choice (toasted is an option) Mayo: Home-made with pasteurized eggs Substitutions/deletions: Allowed
I have dinner parties where I serve BLTs, BELTs, and other mods on that ubiquitous sammich. My brother taught me that trick.

17. Waaah. Can't have 'em. They sure are tasty, though! |
|
I can, however, have poached egg on a slice of whole grain toast with a small bit of low-salt ham.
It's lovely.
