This is weird. I have kind of an amazing flea story. |
|
My dog got fleas in the beginning of the summer. It got bad. I exacerbated the problem by not having him groomed and dipped for months. It got worse. Fleas were jumping on ME and biting on my ankles. ;(
I got my dog groomed and bathed but he was still kind of miserable and scratching and was having trouble sleeping.
Then, at the local grocery store, I bought the Hartz (in a tube) treatment. You know, similar to the prescription Frontline brand stuff that you rub down your dog's spine to the tail and it is supposed to get into the dog's skin and last for a month?
Within a few weeks, my dog stopped scratching and there were not even fleas in my carpet biting me.
It was only about six bucks for three months worth. I can't believe it has had such a profound effect on the flea condition in my house. I am at a bit of a loss to understand. As far as I can tell there are no fleas anywhere.
I don't get it.

I think it kills immature fleas (larva?) also. Vacuuming works wonders when we get fleas, can tell when I haven't been vacuuming that is.
