Friday night alone & lonely: the choices: self-pity, alcohol,
ice cream or reruns of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. And I choose... Buffy! Screw this self-pity garbage. No alcohol, no sugar. Just pure, unadulterated crap t.v.

Ah... I think I'm finally getting better...

4. Yes, but it's been my diet for just about six months...
and I'm tired of it. It's made me quite sick! Buffy on the other hand makes me quite sleepy. Which is nice :) How are you, WIMR?
It's COLD tonight!

12. Tonight Bangor opens the American Folk Festival.
I decided not to go for a number of reasons, one of which is I haven't pulled out my winter clothes just yet!

2. Usually Alcohol for me
when I'm intoxicated I usually relive a lot of good memories, usually snaps me out of my funk....remembering that life isn't as crappy as it can "be"...

5. Last time I drank, eight days ago, I did something really
stupid. Tired of being a weak-willed mess. Not that drinking to ease the tension, for you, makes you a mess. For me though it does.

3. Well, isn't Buffy sugar coated wierdness.....
I never watched it so I really don't know...

I just found the idea that all the kids in a high school would either be vampires or slayers...

Kind of really strange...

6. Buffy is adolescent crap. The thing is
I'm not up to anything deeper these days. I haven't been able to read much, I've quit playing piano, I don't draw or sing any more and I've spent much too much money on vodka. New leaf. Buffy it is.

13. Start playing the piano....
I left my guitar in the corner far too long...

When I was in my deepest despair, I picked up my guitar and started playing again...

At first it took my mind away...

Then it made me want to try and do something...

And now I am better than I was when I was in a band fifteen years ago...

14. Not there yet. The man who stole my life is a musician.
I have trouble playing, yet.

16. Don't be.
I'm not religious but this life event has been so catastrophic I can only think it was meant to be... even if the ultimate plan was to reunite the gentleman and his lovely wife. I am going to survive. Maybe they wouldn't have, if I hadn't found myself in love with the wrong man. You know? That's how I'm rationalizing it these days anyhow.

7. You forgot the loner walk.
Edited on Fri Aug-25-06 08:52 PM by Porcupine
Get a flashlight, put on your walking shoes and take five bucks with you (no more). Walk out the front door, pick a direction and walk for about an hour. Get a cup of coffee and read old papers or the freebie car ads. Walk home.

It's exercise and you feel better for it the next day.

10. I walk every morning that I'm able, usually for an hour but often
for longer. Walking at night makes me feel even lonelier, like the whole world is alive and I am the embodiment of solitude. Could be too much Buffy, though.

17. I wish you were more local...

All Buffy does is whine about her fingernails breaking when she beats up monsters while Giles acts all cool and suave, as British men are wont to do. :D

18. Hypno, so do I.
I think we'd be great together. Really. I met this man at a party a few weeks ago and thought immediately of you. He looked good, but it could have been the jello shooters. And if that failed, I'd keep you company in the meantime.

I don't mind Giles. A little too much chin and the hiked-up pants have to go (on the third season so far) but otherwise, Hmmm, okay.
