Rain? Water falling from the sky.

What does it mean to you?

2. Rain means...
Peace, mostly. Sometimes I've had thunderstorms roll in at oddly and eerily appropriate moments of tension. But mostly rain means I glance up from my book to the window and watch the water come down.

12. I have to mow again tomorrow
I wish I didn't have to, but I do. There is a crazy lady giving out warnings to people who let their flowering weeds get too high.

She's probably just someone who is doing her stupid job, but damn.

I like the weed flowers.

18. And just think, after you mow it, you can smell that nice fresh cut
grass smell. (I can say these things because I don't cut it; others do)

13. lately, it means maybe my water bill will go down, and my
yard will no longer crunch under my feet.
Can't remember when it rained.

I love rain, as long as I am not out in it in my dressy clothes.

15. Flashback to when I was a kid...
...and I'd have my window open, listening to the rain patter and the sound of cars swishing along the wet pavement. I love the rain!

I need to make more time to listen to it!

23. this area is still considered part of the drought area
even though we have gotten 2/3's of our yearly rainfall within less than a month.

It's crazy.

I don't wish sudden rainfall on you, but I do wish the long, soft peaceful rains of fall to fall upon you!

24. It means possibly damaging winds, softball sized hail and
time to unplug the computer. In my mind, every rain shower turns into a ginormous twister with my name on it. I'm terrified of the slightest wind and heavy rain. Plus, I'm paranoid about lightning running in on my computer and taking my lifeline away. If I ever get to a point where I can afford it, I'm buying a second computer using only the cheapest stuff, so I won't care if lightning runs in on it. This one got zapped earlier this summer. I was on it at the time. Luckily, it didn't get hit directly and my sound card and modem contained the fireball that shot out its little backside. I say lucky because I can still use the computer and it didn't fry the motherboard.

I hate rain. I'm only happy when it suns.
