Question an overseas friend has, relating to an old traffic warrant. |
|
Not looking for legal advice, they're just wondering.
A friend of mine, who has been in Europe for a long time, had traffic-related warrant (apparently something 'relatively' inconsequential, along the lines of running a red light or something ... they didn't really specify) from about 11 or 12 years ago. They're wondering, if they were to come back to the states and apply for a drivers license, whether that would still be active and would be liable to bite them.
They asked me, and I have no idea. I didn't want to actually call the state involved and ask, in case that would set gears in motion or something.

1. I've had parking tickets bubble up from 10 years prior.... |
|
but DMVs often have amnesty programs - I would check the website of your local DMV and find out what their guidelines are.......

2. ok, thanks. This is a different state, but I'll look around and see if I |

can find anything without giving their name.
