8. One of my favorite early music memories involves Golden Earring

Coming back from a trip to Myrtle Beach we stopped in Burlington, NC at the time home of tons of textile mills so there were outlet stores all over the place. After about the third one I asked my folks if I could just sit in the car and listen to the radio and they said yeah. Radar Love came on and I was transfixed. The song blew me away. Of course I had no idea who Brenda Lee was, I figured it was his girlfriend. :blush: This was the summer of 73 or 74 so I was about 10 years old.
