Gee. I liked Legends of the Fall when it came out, but I'm watching it now

for the first time since seeing it in the theater, and I'm totally underwhelmed and I think i'm going to turn it off and put something else in the DVD player.

Anthony Hopkins of course is fucking brilliant, and, for the most part, all the actors are good -but the story is so goddamned awful, I can't take any more of it.

I watched it recently for the first time since it came out and had the same reaction. I found most of the characters pretty unlikable and the story itself unconvincing. Disappointed me.
