What should I do on my holiday since I'm not going anywhere?
:( Okay, going to have to put off the "Grande Trip" of my life until next year. (not close to having enough money saved)

I'm off in about 1 1/2 for maybe 2-2 1/2 weeks. What do I do?

Suggestions please.

4. this is so not fun
but if I have a vacation and I can't go anywhere I make lists of stuff to do and do all those stupid annoying chores that I never have time (or don't want) to do otherwise. I clean out my files and take stuff to good will, hose down all the furniture and the insides of all my drawers (as in 'chest of') clean all the floor moldings, out from under beds, throw away unmatched socks, patch clothes with holes in them, squeeze all the almost empty tubes of lotion into one container, etc, etc, etc. I always feel really good when I get the whole list done. If I can't go to the beach or something I'll try to find some local parks or something like that to visit that I've not been to yet.

10. You will love it there...
I haven't been in a while. My last visit was with relatives in Luxembourg and then to Paris for some fun. An awesome continent.

6. Do whatever you please!
While that might sound obvious, it isn't. A lot of people do chores if they stay home, but you don't have to! You could write, take photographs, take time for your favorite hobby, see a film or show...that kind of thing.

I've had many holidays when I haven't been able to get away. The ones where I took time out to play were the most memorable. Enjoy!

:)

7. Become a tourist in your own area.
Edited on Sun Aug-27-06 08:28 PM by caty
Go to tourist attractions in your area you have never been to before.

Go to a museum in your city or a neighboring city.

Go to the movies.

Go to a play.

Go on a picnic.

Do some early x-mas shopping.

Rearrange your living room and/or your bedroom.

Sleep in.

Read a good book.

Rent movies you have never seen before. Or, ones you would really love to watch again.

Go to a really nice restaurant at least once a week.

Go hiking.

Reinvent yourself a little bit. Maybe a new hair cut or color.
