A Poem on Love
I was inspired tonight, by Peggy and WritingIsMyReligion.
And, I'm a little reflective...so, here it goes...

"Life and Love"

We live, it seems, for the moment
Whether we know it or not

We live for love
And when we find something worth living for
Somehow we know it won’t last forever
Not in the present tense, anyway

Thinking back to when I thought
I’d never be this old,
I realize now I’m old enough to know
That love is not fleeting
But, rather, it stays within our hearts forever

And, with the very last breath I’ll breathe
I’ll know...I've lived…
because...I've loved
