Never pick up a metal handled pan when it's on a high heat burner
I did just that last night, and ended up blowing through every single ice cube our icemacker could muster.. I left some skin on the handle  ouoooochie:(

But on the plus side..I could crack a safe and not leave readable prints :) If I used only my left hand :)

1. OMG! Did you go to the hospital? I'm cringing just reading about it.

2. Nope. I just squeezed ice cubes until the nerve endings "died"..
Today the tips of my fingers, and palm are a bit numb, but not as painful as I feared.. I'm a tough cookie:)

and there was the leftover vicodin:evilgrin:

3. Ahhh! Prescription pain medication! That's the ticket!
;)

Should we take up a collection and send oven mitts and pot holders out to California from the east coast?

4. No need..
:)

The handle sleeve was in the drawer..right next to the stove, but I had an alzheimer-moment and paid for it :(

I cannot even imagine how awful it must be to have a serious burn.. :scared:
