I remember the Lounge mini-flamewar over Steely Dan, which I started, inadvertently. Whoops. :D I say this is a good memory because I got to talk with so many other 'Dan fans, and later in the week Texasgal and I posted about 10 competing threads with random 'Dan lyrics, which was hysterically funny to us, though annoying to the rest of the Lounge, I'm sure. ;)

I remember texas1928's post about the drink-mixing game called "The Right Mix." http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=105&topic_id=4431604. That was not only a hysterical game but a wonderful thread on it, too. ;)

4. What will stand out in my memory

for the rest of my life is the way this place pulled together and kept me sane through the worst week of my life.

People say it all the time...you kept me sane, you helped me hold it together. It's often said lightly and flippantly but I've never been more serious about anything in my entire life. Without y'all, I wouldn't have made it.

I will forever be grateful to every one of you. And I've made some wonderful friends along the way.

Mostly getting to know a lot of great people, some of whom have become good friends. Can't beat that one.
