And, for the record, I did not coin ughy-pew. My author friend in NH did and I have full permission to use it even though, for some inexplicable reason, she likes avocadoes too...:eyes:

Seriously!

How many horny teenagers got busy in the back of their van back in the 1970s because of an Avocado?

I loved their music and was too smart to fall for the "Let's get busy in the back seat to Led Zeppelin" line that was commonplace during that time in the rural parts of Pennsylvania

32. You know, I wasn't really a fan
until I moved to California. Now I get pissed if it's not sitting on top of nearly everything I order in a restaurant.

My personal favorite is avocado/jack/bacon omelets. Followed closely by avocado/jack/bacon burgers.

Mmmmm.

36. Well, for one thing
The best ones are in California. The kind you get from your neighbor's trees are to die for, but you might get one in the grocery store that's just kinda blah or even yuck. I don't think you can really describe the taste other than "fresh." My daughter's first food was fresh, smushed avocado. My brother-in-law told me that was child abuse but he doesn't know what he's talking about. :)

38. At my old work, we had this pita sandwich that had avocado.
So good! It was like my favorite thing there, and I always made sure I put on TONS of avo when I made my lunch.

You take two pitas(or one and cut it in half) and put pesto and dijon on either side.
Then you put cheddar and provolone cheese, tomato(a little salt and pepper), spinach, and avocado.
Put it all together and grill it(we used a panini grill, but you can do it at home with a regular pan too) with some seasoned garlic butter. OMG SO GOOD. :9

39. Today for lunch...
On one side of the bento box, canned crab mixed with a little mayo and sriracha.
On the other side of the bento box, avocado and cucumber mixed with sesame oil, rice vinegar and honey.
A mini-bagel wedged between them.
All on a bed of greens.

I made a bagel sandwich at lunchtime.

Yes, avocados rule.

43. Take an avocado..
... split it, and spoon the ripe (but not too ripe) contents into a bowl.

Add a tablespoon or so of finely diced onion.

Add a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice.

Add a dash of salt to taste - and grind some pepper on top.

Take a fork and mash it all together.

Get out some crispy tortilla chips.

Gain a pound :)
