I slew dragons today.

Put to bed some issues that have been hounding me, particularly whether or not I could make sure that the very nice and experienced lady who has been teaching my kids with severe and profound disabilities got paid on time and for all the days she has worked. I helped the rest of the leadership folks at the school understand the school culture and how to go about improving it. Helped a thirteen year old girl with a troubled history start getting used to school again.

Tomorrow, 35 new burning issues in my lap, I'm sure. But today, I got the better of the dragons.

I used to work with kids, and miss that feeling of "slaying the dragons." I'm in retail now and all I feel like I do is sell people things they don"t need.
