I suggest "Smoothie McBabyface".

7. How about
Shorn of the Beard? Kinda like Shaun of the Dead, but without the zombies (there're enough zombies on DU).

12. I think I'll keep the screen name
Being Fuzz is much more than the beard. As a matter of fact, I had the nickname before I could even grow a good one. :)

8. LMAO at the responses
I guess that's true. I can and probably will grow it back again. Freaked out my 6 year old daughter, just as I did 2 1/2 years ago, the last time I did it, but this time I warned her. My wife even can't stop looking at me. Says I look 10 years younger.

20. When I shaved off my facial hair
(a moustache...though I never thought of me as having one, perhaps because it was just a temporary fun gimmick I tried after shaving off most of my Che-like beard at age 20 and not having time to finish the job before I went to class...didn't get around to shaving it off for another 20 years) I not only looked younger -- almost too young (especially when I dyed my hair) -- but I couldn't get over the look of my face and the fact that I had an upper lip. I was very self-conscious, and it all just felt fundamentally wrong. Really did feel like I was going out into public naked, for a while, and I kept touching my upper lip as if to make sure it was really still there.

Weird stuff, what you get used to without thinking and how you can miss it when it's gone.

13. One thing to be thankful for.
What made you decide to do it?

And...the big question...you gonna post a pic of the New You?

16. Heh, I think I'll save the world that torture
:)

Actually, I was going to do a before and after, but forgot to. Oh well.

I'm not sure what triggered the decision. Just seemed like time. Lost some weight, wanted to see what the face looked like I guess.

I still think you should show us the results, though.

Are you happy with it or is it going to take some getting used to?

Especially for my wife and daughters. Hell even my dogs are looking at me funny, but that's nothing new. :)

And I'm never happy, just a big grump! :)

19. I just started growing mine back.
A few weeks ago, I shaved for the first time since grade 12. It was hell on my skin then, and it still is, so I'm switching back to fuzzy-face mode.

23. I just grew mine back this month too.
It is a full beard and I haven't had one for years although I did have a goatee. Although I have little grey in my hair, I do have a lot in my beard and since my hair is dark my beard is very salt and peppery. Still more pepper than salt though. I know it makes me look older, but I am at the point in my life where I don't care anymore. It's how I feel that is more important to me.

25. I've got grey too, quite a bit actually
And for me it can't be how I feel, because I actually feel twice as old as I actually am! :D

28. Since I have little grey on my head
the beard does make me look older. My mustache has little grey and neither did my goatee, but the rest of my beard does. I also have a fairly hairy chest and it is going all grey too. Odd.
