Why do cats like us?

Somebody asked the reverse question last week or so, but I think this is the more interesting one. I think it comes down to one of the first two choices, but am not sure which.

1. We have the living can openers

way easier to harass us than to hunt for the food in wind and weather :rofl:

and we're mostly equable about it, which you probably wouldn't expect out of grizzly bears, say.

4. I voted just as my cat waltzed i.e. waddled by me, stopped, looked

up, yelled for breakfast and moved on to the sunny patch on the floor. I voted for world takeover.

6. Just waiting for us to die so they can eat us

They like having slaves.

Food, shelter, water - provided. Attention - provided. Petting - provided.

And all they need to do is be cute and furry.
