I'm with you - I would never do a big, dramatic "I'm leaving DU" post, but I would tell one or two people by PM, and then just leave. Then I'd sob uncontrollably for weeks because absolutely NO ONE would notice that I'm gone!!!!!:silly:

If I were to just continue to post less and less frequently as I get more and more busy and my lifestyle continues exclude personal computer time, then I wouldn't post a goodbye thread.

If I were to make the conscious decision to leave, I would probably post a goodbye to my friends with a little explanation. My close DU friends, I would give a call.

If I were leaving because I was angry about something, I'd probably post 2 threads--a nice goodbye to my friends, and a hideous rule-breaking, bridge-burning thread that would be locked in 2 minutes. I have a mean temper.
