TODAY was the first day of school!!! |
|
Edited on Wed Aug-30-06 02:24 PM by WannaBeGrumpy
It was a half day but it seemed to be 5 hours long! My first class is Anatomy and Physiology which is with one of my least favorite teachers... so if she thinks I'm gonna be awake in that class at 7:40 after being up since 5:30... fat chance. Second is Humanities which is with the principal (a nun) so obviously I won't be able to have my shirt untucked nor be able to chew gum..DARN! Third is American Lit. which isn't a big deal just like all the other English classes I've ever had to take...no gum chewing there either. 4th is AP US History which will be hard but the Teacher is one of my favorites..so YAY ... there's a possiblity of gum there. Then is lunch..woo lunch! That is where most of my homework will be done. I can chew gum there but that would be pointless. After lunch I have French 3 in which I can chw gum because the teaher loves me! Then I have Prayer and Spirituality and I think I'm going to shoot myself there! It wouldn't be that bad if the teacher wasn't so darn corny and ridicuous! Last is Pre calculus. That class will be OK becaue I wont be able to stay awake and the teacher doesnt care as long as you get your work done! WHOO HOO EXCITING DAY!!! not really! plus a bumpy bus ride for an hour there and back. YAY!

Don't forget the part where I beat you with a stick and make you clean your room. "English and it" classes? never heard of those. "dis Humanities"? Is that some kind of anti-Humanities course??

It so reminds me of my conversations with my son, especially when he's discussing his classes and homework!
He just started school yesterday and told me he could read any book for his reading class. Hmm---
Good luck in school, Wannabegrumpy.
Hang in there, Mrs. Grumpy. I feel your pain. ;-)

I guess. :D Hopefully the classes and schedule will pan out as the year goes.
Good luck this year! Although you won't need it with the smart genes in your family. :yourock:

Poppy is putting her through. Small class sizes (5-14). Luckily, it is a fairly diverse school, with no religious requirements. They've got Buddhists, Muslims and a few others attending. :hi: 99% placement in college of choice with most earning some type of scholarship.

At least you came up with a few good excuses! :P ;) :) :hi:
It kind of seems like she doesn't like it? Does she?
BTW, I am not judging your parental skills. She's your child and you can choose to send her to any school you like. I'm just a big public school supporter. That's all.
